3rd Shift Sanitation Associate Team Lead

Primary Function: The primary function of a Sanitation Shift Leader is to provide direct leadership to sanitation team members. Sanitation Shift Leaders are responsible for training, monitoring, and retraining team members as needed. Sanitation Shift Leaders are also responsible for executing daily food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance paperwork.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Sanitation Team Leader

Direct Reports: Sanitation Associates

Functions:

• Provides leadership to sanitation team members including coaching, counseling, and recognition.
• Ensures safe, efficient, and effective execution of the overall sanitation process for central manufacturing establishments.
• Responsible for training sanitation team members to the guidelines and regulations outlined in SSOPs, HACCP plans, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures clean facilities via effective hygiene practices through the use of appropriate chemicals and methods.
• Provides leadership to sanitation team members on the safe and appropriate use of chemicals, including PPE, dilution, and application.
• Performs environmental monitoring activities in accordance with Wesco’s environmental monitoring programs for controlling Listeria Monocytogenes and preventing allergen cross contamination.
• Works in collaboration with the Sanitation Team leader to implement Food Safety, SOP, SSOP, GMP, HACC, and Third-Party Audit based programs.
• Lead sanitation team members in improving daily sanitation processes, resulting in thorough cleaning of equipment and facilities in a safe manner.
• Works in collaboration with the Sanitation Team Leader to identify operational issues and the implement procedural improvements.
• Ensures all relevant sanitation monitoring documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Conducts monthly JP&R sessions with direct reports and encourages engagement throughout the organization.
• Works in collaboration, with the Senior Manager of Food Process and Quality Assurance, Senior Food Manufacturing Facility Manager, Production Managers, and Wesco Maintenance, to execute planning for scheduled and unscheduled service of WESCO Manufacturing equipment and assets.
• Promote a customer and associate centric based passion for safety, productivity and quality throughout the organization.
• Collaborates with the Sanitation Team Leader team to recruit, hire and retain an engaged team.
• Is a champion of Safety, works to promote safe culture by staying in compliance with safety initiatives

Qualifications:

• 2+ years in a progressive in a food service / manufacturing / sanitation or related field.
• Understands and advocates WESCO’s commitment to its Mission Statement, Unifying Principles and Company Guidelines.
• Detail oriented, highly motivated, and a positive team player with the ability to inspire others to achieve desire results while maintaining a “hands on” approach.
• Maintain a professional appearance that is reflective of our commitment to quality.
• Possess the ability to work collaboratively with others, between departments, vendor partners and community partners.
• Possess outstanding skill in leadership, interpersonal communication and staff development.
• Possess strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Ability to handle a varied work schedule, 24-hour availability, and unexpected situations.
• Must be able to work the hours of 10 pm-6 am.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
