JOB PURPOSE and FUNCTION

To assure that items coming in from the picker are correct parts, correct quantity, in tolerance according to

customer. Assuring that product is shipped to customer in good condition, assure that product is visually

acceptable, assure that product is shipped in a timely manner according to customer due date. Keeping in

contact with CSR’s regarding issues to assure that a job or order is shipped correctly.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

▪ Check for quality and consistency in packaged product.

▪ Prepares shipments and packs items to ensure safe delivery.

▪ Prepares bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities,

destination, and routing are correct.

▪ Other duties as assigned and may consist of assisting a peer department, to include but not limited to,

assisting in the following departments: mailing, specialty binder, specialty finishing and bindery.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

▪ Deadline-Oriented, Dependability, Persistence, Time Management, Attention to Detail.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

▪ High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

MINIMUM YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

▪ One (1) year of shipping experience is not required but is preferred.

SHOP:

▪ Activity: Standing up to 8 hours per day with the ability to walk, touch and climb at any point throughout

the day. Some equipment requires the ability to walk narrow ramps and reach to adjust function. Ability to

push, pull, lift or carry up to 30 lbs occasionally.

▪ Work Environment: Heeter maintains a safe and clean front office environment.

▪ Noise: In a manufacturing role, moderately loud noise is a constant

▪ Visual Acuity: Ability to read and distinguish small print, depth perception, color perception

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
