Loloi Rugs is seeking an experienced Shipping Manager based full-time in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of warehousing and/or distribution experience, be able to multitask and manage time effectively, and can operate in a high-volume environment. The Shipping Manager oversees and coordinates merchandise delivery activities in its department to ensure that all orders are dispatched accurately, quickly, cost-effectively, and meet legal and customer requirements.

Essential Functions

• Manage daily shipping operations.
• Implement procedures to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Plans, Organizes, controls the picking, packing, and shipping of GRS and Non-GRS product to customers. Report discrepancies to established communication channels to customer service and warehouse management
• Ensure that the products are distributed with the correct packaging standards.
• Ensure that shipments are delivered in a timely manner.
• Ensure that quality controls are performed to ensure shipment preparation.
• Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment.
• Use of software to track, verify, prioritize, and send orders.
• Management of all important documents, such as advanced shipping notice, pick-up, bill of lading, etc.
• Inspect labels, bar codes, and other completed order functions
• Resolve issues related to orders placed.
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
• Inform management about activities and issues.
• Verify the cleaning and safety of the work area
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Know, Apply, and Follow the Global Recycling Standard (GRS) within the department.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related subject is highly preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of related experience in Warehousing and/or Distribution operations.
• Management training in Warehousing and/or Distribution functions.
• Knowledge of the shipping software of FedEx, UPS, and other cargo companies used by the shipping department.

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Working Environment

• This is a distribution position. The facility is not climate controlled, and subject to temperature changes in relation to the seasons.
• Dust and fibers are part of a warehouse environment. Loloi strives to maintain a clean, clear, and safe work environment and expects all employees to do their part in that effort.
• Loloi’s rugs are produced using a variety of natural fibers, including wool, cotton, and jute. Employee will meet these through the normal course of performing everyday job duties.
• Powered equipment is used throughout the distribution facility. Operation of this equipment may or may not be part of the job requirement, but employee must be aware of them in immediate and surrounding work areas.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stoop, stand, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to crouch, reach, bend forward at the waist, bend legs and spine. Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work.
• Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.
• Ability to read and understand the information presented orally and in writing.
