Are you organized and do you enjoy a variety of shipping/receiving-related duties? If so, we’d like to speak with you about a day shift Shipping/Receiving Clerk position at our client company in Alexandria.
Main duties in this role include:
- Count, weigh, and measure incoming and outgoing items, comparing information against invoices, bills of lading and other records
- Inspect incoming shipments for damages or shortages
- Resolve issues related to shipping/receiving or inventory
- Operate material handling equipment
- Route, count and inspect items while loading/unloading trucks
- Utilize shipping/receiving software for printing labels, tracking, reporting and inventory
- Write up Bills of Lading
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with hours of 6am-4:30pm, Mon-Thurs. Pay is $18/hr. Qualified candidates have shipping/receiving or material handling experience and have strong communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
