Job Title: School Age Site Coordinator (Part-time and Full Time positions available)

Our childcare center is in search of qualified workers to help monitor and lead activities throughout the day. This job will help you develop excellent skills and techniques that can benefit you in both your personal life and in future careers in child development.

We are seeking to employ a School Age Site Coordinator in our Plymouth location.

Hours:

The before school program opens at 7am until school begins.

The afternoon hours are school dismissal-3pm until 6pm.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the School Age Director, the Site Coordinator is responsible for programming and supervision of the School Age licensed program. The Site Coordinator will plan and implement a program of activities which will ensure each child's personal safety while providing entertainment, physical challenges, and learning experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Understand and ensure EEC regulations as well as Old Colony Y policies (Child and Youth Care policy, Child Guidance Policy, Health Care Policy) are maintained at all times.

• Plan, develop, and implement the program curriculum in accordance with EEC regulations and Old Colony YMCA'S policies.

• Gear the school age lesson plans to the needs of individual children with concern for their interests, disabilities, special talents, cultural diversity, and individual style and pace of learning.

SUPERVISION OF PERSONNEL:

• Organize, facilitate and document regular meetings with staff to ensure work plans are being adhered to or modified as needed.

• Attend mandatory training sessions and all site coordinator's meetings.

• Recruit, hire, supervise, train, and evaluate school age staff and volunteers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Minimum Required):

• Minimum of 20 years of age

• Minimum of two years supervision/management experience

• Evidence of physical examination within the last 12 months

• Minimum of one year of school age experience
