SOCIAL MEDIA & EVENT SPECIALIST

Camp Bow Wow Jacksonville is seeking an energetic and motivated employee to be responsible for the social media, creative content, community outreach, and local marketing of Camp. The Communications Associate is a liaison to corporate marketing and shapes the customers' experience by supporting strategy and content.

Primary Responsibilities

• Customer service-based role
• Promote Camp Bow Wow to increase sales and customer visits, while increasing customer retention and producing effective results
• Manage local marketing efforts and social media platforms
• Create original content, including photos, video, and copy
• Take daily pictures and videos of pet guests; record, edit and post videos
• Utilize insights to determine what the most effective content is and when to post it
• Adhere to Camp Bow Wow branding standards.
• Research advertising opportunities to positively promote Camp
• Attend local marketing events
• Coordinate and host Camp Bow Wow events on or off-site
• Establish partnerships with local businesses and maintain relationships
• Create marketing materials through Canva
• Create and implement monthly enrichment calendar
• Communicate promotions and calendars effectively to Camp employees
• Work alongside Camp Owner to set monthly goals
• Assist with Camp's day-to-day operations, as needed, including time spent in the play yards

Requirements:

• Working towards earning a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising or relevant field.
• Excellent communication skills; writing skills with the ability to compose posts free of grammatical errors. Be creative.
• Experience with Social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
• Able to understand and apply insights. Technical skills and the ability to pick up new tools.
• Reliable and flexible to Camp schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times
• Ability to receive instructions and remain adaptive to change and training material
• Extremely energetic, outgoing, upbeat with a positive personality
• Be able to lift dog food and supplies
• Constantly walk and/or stand entire shift
• MUST LOVE DOGS - the noise, the hair, the messes, the love, and the smiles!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
