SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
Work under the supervision of the Media & Communications Director to coordinate the social media and digital outreach strategy for Unity of the Triangle services and other activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● In collaboration with the Media & Communications Director maintain a church-wide social media strategy that supports the church's ministry Goals and vision.
● Create social media content that is distributed through various social media channels.
● Work with the church staff to use social media platforms properly and effectively.
Job Qualifications:
● Create written and visual content on Unity of the Triangle’s main social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) and Unity of the Triangle’s Youth Facebook and Instagram pages in alignment with the organization’s mission statement.
● Take direction from, and collaborate with, the Media and Communications Director to create and execute social media content according to our editorial calendar.
● Collaborate with colleagues in the ministry to develop and promote social media content, and other marketing materials for events.
● Consistently research and employ best practices in social media marketing.
● Assist with monitoring social media channels to include Sunday live streaming and seek counsel regarding appropriate responses and engagement.
● Perform other duties as assigned by the Media & Communications Director related to digital marketing.
Education and Experience:
● Must have social media experience.
● Knowledge of graphic design software (CANVA or Photoshop)
● Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok platform native video tools.
● Knowledge of posting, scheduling, stories (reels), and analytics
● Must have excellent relational and communication skills.
Commitment:
- 10-12 hours per week; Sunday availability is key.
Social Media Coordinator Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule social media content for Unity of the Triangle and Unity of the Triangle Youth according to the editorial calendar on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok.
- Update monthly and quarterly metrics for social media platforms on the ScoreCard and update the Dashboard presentation file.
- Meet with key stakeholders for event planning as needed o Attend Staff meeting -- monthly
- Review Asana projects as needed for marketing updates and editorial calendars.
- Monitor the Sunday livestream on Facebook, and YouTube platforms at 11:00am
- Approve new member requests and comments on the Unity if the Triangle Community Group on Facebook.
- Add/Submit events to social media and other community platforms: Facebook, Nextdoor, WRAL Community calendars.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
