The Social Media Specialist has an uncanny ability to sniff out a great headline, deliver big ideas on tight deadlines, and understand what resonates with our community. The role is responsible for leading the charge on tightly integrated social, influencer, and PR strategies and campaigns that drive buzz and engagement.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will partner closely with our brand marketing team on developing a differentiated brand platform and creating a strategy that will be implemented across earned media channels. As our Social Media Specialist, you will lead a team that is collectively responsible for: creating a media presence for the 7 FAM brands and stores; building communities for our best customers and most loyal fans; activating a robust influencer program; creating buzzworthy brand campaigns and moments, and appearing in her digital newsstand/newsfeed.

As a specialist on the marketing team, you will work cross-functionally with the Creative, Operations, Customer Retention, and Performance Marketing teams to create tightly integrated campaigns. You will liaise across the entire business with frequent collaboration with our Finance, Merch Planning / Buying, Fashion, Customer Service, Customer Insights, Legal, and E-Commerce teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the strategic direction of the social team by identifying clear and measurable KPIs.
• Create and drive strategies for the 7FAM brand and stores on key social channels.
• Manage a social calendar of content, activations, tentpole campaigns, and moments that is tightly integrated with cross-channel marketing efforts.
• Partner with creative lead to oversee the direction and approval of social photography, graphic assets, and copy.
• Manage a robust brand influencer program, identifying key influencer partners, negotiating contracts, and managing their content deliverables
• Activate and build lasting, loyal social communities.
• Partner with the social care team on customer service and community management.
• Use social listening, measurement, and insights to optimize executions.
• Manage an internal/external team of social and agencies.
• Manage social media operations - resources, budget, processes, SOPs, etc.
• Be the social media evangelist and center of excellence at 7FAM.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree
• Have 3-5 years in a brand marketing role and proven experience with big idea creative thinking - along with effective project and resource management skills.
• Have experience overseeing direct reports, budgets, and agencies.
• Have a strong and elevated aesthetic and an understanding of luxury brands and products.
• Have hands-on experience operating key social and content platforms for a brand, including community management and social care.
• Have experience with social content strategy, managing complex editorial calendars, and content production processes.
• Can extract insights and optimize executions based on social media listening and analytics.
• Have experience leading an influencer marketing program.
• Have a community and customer service-oriented mindset.
• Have experience procuring, setting up, and using social media platforms and technology.
• A relevant perspective on current events and style; can translate that into meaningful dialogue.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where your work directly impacts the creation of the brand and the performance of the business.
• Be willing to be on call during off hours to escalate potential social media crises or chatter.
