Position: Engineering Lead / Solution Architect (Full-Stack)
Client: IT Service provider
6+ Months contract with possibility of conversion into fulltime
100% Remote with 25% travel

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers in the architecture, design, development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise-level software applications.
- Understands workflows and user requirements and converts into a detailed microservice design architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, scope, and timelines.
- Establish and maintain best practices for software development, including code quality, code review, testing, automation and deployment.
- Mentor and guide team members in their technical and professional growth.
- Perform hands-on development work as needed, including coding in Java and JavaScript.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, especially detailed architecture diagrams.
- Coordinate with the product team to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones.
- Identify potential issues and risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular status updates to the product team and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on full-stack development.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, including leading and managing software development teams.
- Expertise in Java and JavaScript, with experience using frameworks including Spring, Hibernate, React, and Angular.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API development.
- Experience building applications and services that will be deployed in a containerised environment.
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with MS SQL database design
- Data Design, MS SQL Server, Apache Spark, Python, Flask / FastAPI, Kubernetes
- Experience architecting and implementing containerized application development and deployment solutions.
- Experience of architecting, implementing and using DevOps processes and tools in on-prem and cloud environments.
- Experience working with remote on and offshore teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, a can and will do attitude
