X-Force is seeking a Software Engineer strong with MATLAB or Python, For one of our cutting edge clients building Autonomous Vehicles. This is a Direct Hire position, with great pay and benefits. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement LiDAR software applications and signal processing tools operating on low-level sensor data as well as point cloud data for a state-of-the-art LiDAR to support Advanced Driver Assistant Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Vehicles (AV)
• Develop MATLAB applications and tools for generating point clouds from raw sensor data, maintain LiDAR signal processing pipeline
• Optimize algorithms for performance and fixed point operation while minimizing computational requirements
• Develop software routines and libraries in C++ or Python for fast point cloud processing and real-time visualization
• Develop automated tools for LiDAR algorithm development and performance metrics
• Work with and manipulate 3D point cloud data, extract useful features from point cloud data, develop automated target extraction tools
• Work with auto code generation tools, such as MATLAB Coder
• Collaborate with other teams within the organization, including low-level hardware, firmware, perception, and manufacturing groups
• Document and communicate design work and conduct design reviews

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering with 7+ years of work experience
• Knowledgeable in computer and embedded architectures and multi-threaded/multi-core programming
• Expert level with MATLAB and Python
• Proficient with C++ and OOA/OOD development
• Experience working with CI/CD scripting
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with Agile software development and supporting tools, e.g. Jira, Confluence, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of source control and versioning using Git and GitHub
• Ability to successfully collaborate in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment and to mentor other developers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with 3D point cloud processing algorithms and experience working with associated tools and libraries
• Experience with TCP/IP protocol stack and developing networking applications
• Experience using MATLAB toolboxes, such as such as MATLAB Coder, Embedded Coder, or HDL Coder
• Experience or knowledge in the areas of robotics, computer vision, image processing
• Basic mathematics knowledge in linear algebra, statistics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,356.65 - $164,614.50 per year
