We are currently hiring a Medical Sonographer, experienced in MFM and OB/GYN, to work for our Abington Perinatal Associates practice. Locations include Lansdale, Doylestown and Horsham, PA.

Essential Functions:

• Reviewing any prior images and imaging reports prior to ultrasound exam.
• Performing ultrasounds, ensuring the transducer (probe) is correctly capturing images.
• Explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients to avoid confusion.
• Maintaining ultrasound equipment and sterilizing room between ultrasound patients.
• Evaluating images for quality and interpreting images captured.
• Presenting images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.
• Maintaining patient records, adding medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
• Utilizing PACs, EMR, and other systems related to imaging.
• Maintaining certifications by completing any assigned compliance and continuing education requirements.
• Training other Ultrasound Technicians as needed.
• Ordering and stocking ultrasound supplies.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualities & Skills:

• Strong attention to detail

Education & Experience:

• Degree or Certificate from an accredited ultrasound program.
• Current ARDMS RDMS certification in Ob/Gyn required.
• ARDMS certification in Breast (BR) and Abdomen (AB) desirable.
• Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification through FMF or NTQR desirable.
• At least 2 years’ recent experience performing obstetrical scanning required.
• CPR certification a plus.
• eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience beneficial.
