Special Education Teacher - Full-Time Position
Blazerworks, in partnership with the New Haven School District, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for the 2023/2024 school year. This is a full-time position located in New Haven, MI.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusion and accommodation of students with special needs
- Assess students' progress and modify instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP goals
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding students' progress and needs
- Stay updated with the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in special education
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid Michigan teaching certification in Special Education
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities and learning challenges
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping students succeed
