Meadow Crest Early Learning Center MCELC provides a full continuum of preschool classes to support all learning needs of children ages 3 through 5. Multiple classrooms support 50% of students with disabilities and 50% without disabilities. The screening and evaluation of children ages 3-5 (with the exception of kindergarten age eligible) is facilitated at Meadow Crest by the Child Find team.

Instructional Learning Centers (ILC) These services are for students with moderate to severe global cognitive delays. ILC classrooms range from K-21. Students receive instruction using replacement curriculums, focusing on functional academic and adaptive skills. Students typically spend half-day or more in this specialized setting. All secondary schools have ILC classrooms. 13 of 15 elementary schools have ILC classrooms. Nursing is provided at Cascade, Nelsen, and Hazen for students requiring non-delegated nursing services.

ILC EBD Supporting students with severe emotional or behavioral difficulties with a strong emphasis on social skill acquisition generalization and competence, primarily using core curriculum and supplementing with specialized curriculum. Highlands and Honey Dew each have one elementary class. McKnight Middle and Lindbergh High also each have one EBD classroom.

Resource Learning Center (RLC) Support students with IEPs in working toward achieving success in general education classes, primarily using core curriculum and supplemented as needed. RLC supports students in grades K – 12 in a pull-out or in-class support. Every school has RLC services. Secondary schools have several teachers, depending on student numbers.

Adult Transition Program (ATP) Supports students 18-21 years old, located at Talley High School. The curricular focus is on transition skills including life-long workplace training, community participation, transportation, home living skills and self-care. Many students are working in a variety of businesses developing work skills. Student disabilities range from severe to moderate needs.

Renton Academy is a therapeutic day school for students K-12 with severe emotional and behavioral challenges.

Griffin Home Residential treatment for boys ages 12-18, referred by Washington State Division of Children's Services, to address mental health and sexual behavior problems. Educational services are provided on-site from Renton School District in this residential treatment center.

Pay: From $62,557.00 per year
