Responsibilities:
By joining Berkley Technology Services (BTS) as a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you’ll be part of a highly visible, enterprise-wide program aimed at revolutionizing procure to pay processes across our global organization. You’ll partner with leaders across the various Operating Units (OU’s) within W.R. Berkley Corporation (WRBC) to understand their current needs, taking that insight to design systems enhancements and new business processes that maximize both business operations and the technologies that power them. Your ability to ask the right questions to understand each OU’s needs (realized and unrealized) will directly influence the procurement processes you partner with them to design. And it’s the centralization and consistency of process that you help to build that will ensure efficiency and positively impact our overall business performance.
Specifically, you will:
- Directly engage with key stakeholders (VP, Director level and above) to fully capture business requirements and design technical solutions to address them
- Continually identify opportunities to introduce innovative business processes that leverage both existing and emerging technologies and / or new development
- Utilize your knowledge of systems configuration, integration, and data mapping practices to design the future state of procure to pay processes across WRBC’s family of companies
- Partner with business stakeholders to create use cases that facilitate testing around functionality enhancements, upgrades, and/or new implementations
- Create and maintain application and process documentation, as well as end-user training materials
- Serve as the primary contact and escalated support resource to resolve procedural, systemic, and/or technical bottlenecks that may arise throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC), leveraging such insights to further develop business process enhancements
Where could you be located?
We have a hybrid work model where you’ll be able to work both on-site and remotely from your primary location. While Urbandale, IA (the Greater Des Moines area) is our preferred location, if you’re located in Wilmington, DE (Greater Philadelphia area), or in/around the Chicago, IL area, we’d love to talk!
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of progressive functional experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Systems Integration Consultant, or similar role required
- Demonstrated experience with process design, driving and implementing process improvements, and developing and documenting project artifacts
- Experience with supporting Cloud financial applications and/or with large scale ERP financial systems, specifically procurement modules, is a plus
- Must have experience working with SQL Server including utilizing the query analyzer to build and troubleshoot queries; experience with or exposure to stored procedures is a plus
