The Role
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of various journal entries, summaries, and other documents needed for the company’s corporate accounting and reporting. As part of your specific responsibilities, you will:
Prepare and post journal entries during each month-end close and create summaries and reports for several business processes including corporate G&A, , equity method accounting, corporate acquisitions, and other areas- Partner with Accounting Manager on technical accounting research and other special projects, as necessary
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations for related accounts
- Prepare reports to support external financial reporting and SEC filings
- Prepare schedules for quarterly review and year-end audit processes with outside audit firm(s)
- Perform ad-hoc analyses as assigned
- Ensure adherence to and effectiveness of internal control in own area of responsibility
- Assist with special projects as assigned by Management
- Perform other duties as assigned

The Requirements
To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Senior Corporate Accountant opportunity, you will have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent required- 3+ years of relevant progressive accounting experience required
- 1+ year of industry experience with a public company preferred
- Advanced analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, including complex/compound spreadsheets
- SAP knowledge/experience preferred and oil & gas industry background a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with various stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to research, solve problems, and take initiative to recommend process improvements
- Ability to work well independently and deal effectively in a rapidly changing environment
