The Role

Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Financial Planning, you will provide timely analysis and deliverables in conjunction with Par Pacific's forecasting and business planning process.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:

• Assist in organizing and facilitating the monthly forecasting process and annual budget process
• Maintain and publish financial forecasting models for Par and its subsidiaries
• Analyze and communicate Par financial results & forecasts to Management
• Create PowerPoint presentations outlining financial results and forecasts to be presented to management, the Board of Directors and the public market
• Provide analytical support to various business initiatives & strategic decisions, including business development & M&A opportunities
• Perform weekly ad hoc financial analysis on behalf of management

The Requirements

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Senior Financial Analyst opportunity, you will have:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or equivalent required. CPA or advanced degree a plus.
• 2-5 years of related work experience in a financial modeling environment, including but not limited to banking, corporate finance, consulting or Big 4 advisory or accounting
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Highly literate in fundamental finance and accounting concepts
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Team player, flexible, and willing to pitch in wherever required in a small team environment
• Professionalism and comfort working with and/or presenting to executive leadership
• You should be flexible to complete work during and beyond normal office hours as required by the job.
• This role is based at Par Pacific's headquarters in Houston.
