Responsibilities
Oversees and manages the activities of design and engineering professionals and contractors in the planning, programming, design and construction of projects for the University of Utah. Frequently consults with customers regarding project status and changes and assists in preparing recommendations and requests. Ensures that projects are progressing on schedule and within budget. Responsible for building projects from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are built to University and State standards, local and national building codes, and departmental requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); AND 10 or more years of related experience; Familiarity with State and national building codes and experience working on capital development project, and; Demonstrated human relation and effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
Current licensure with the State of Utah as an Architect or Engineer is preferred.
