Core Responsibilities
- Make operational decisions based on System Impact Tool data and electric distribution system conditions. Operating decisions include real-time and day ahead notifications to Regional Electric Control Centers, Energy Control Center and DER Aggregators participating in the NYISO wholesale market. Document system conditions that impact DER in the internal portal.
- Communicate real-time and day ahead Aggregated DER analysis to Operations such as Regional Control Centers (Shift Manager, Feeder Control Representative, Operating General Supervisor, etc.), Energy Control Center (Senior System Operator, System Operator, Energy Dispatchers, etc.) to enhance emergency response capability with outage and power quality complaints under daily operating and storm response conditions.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to provide prompt resolution to customer, regulatory bodies and other stakeholder inquiries and collaborations relating to Distributed Energy Resource forecasting, integration, monitoring and operation in the Con Edison System.
- Support Company and State policy goals by providing feedback and building out DERMS functionality over time to facilitate DER aggregation into NYISO wholesale markets.
- Interface with various Company groups to develop tools that facilitate DER adoption (i.e., permissible penetration maps or constrained area maps.).
- Perform aggregator registration and enrollment activities in Salesforce by reviewing DER asset information, telemetry configuration, and transmission node location
- Work with Engineering and Energy Services teams to perform safe and reliable studies and perform additional aggregation studies where needed
- Work with SCADA and IT teams to setup and test telemetry between NYISO and Con Edison and Aggregator Control Center
- Ensure that the DERs participating in the wholesale market have the correct electric tariff assigned by working with Customer Operations to review and make the appropriate changes.
- Develop a proactive, customer-centric, and stakeholder-centric culture to foster trust and confidence among customers and improve value for all our stakeholders.

- Continue to communicate, engage, and partner with lead stakeholders such as the NYISO, Joint Utilities, Aggregators, and individual DER participants.

Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of work experience Control Center Operations or Support and Field Operations supervisory experience in an equivalent functional capacity.
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' work experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Environmental Science or other relevant major and 5 -7 years of experience.
Relevant Work Experience
- 3-5 years work experience including at least 3 years of demonstrated technical experience in Construction or Operations regarding the operation, design, maintenance, and restoration of the electric systems. Required
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with control center personnel, customers, and various levels of corporate management. Required
- Must be able to exercise independent judgment, demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, and be able to render sound business decisions. Required
- Must be extremely well organized, detail oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. Required
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and be committed to providing exemplary customer service. Required
- Must have a thorough knowledge and technical experience in the design, operation, repair, and safe restoration of the electric distribution system. Required
- Must have an excellent practical knowledge of the Con Edison's "General Instructions Governing Work on System Electrical Equipment" and the appropriate Engineering Instructions and Engineering Orders. Required
- Must have extensive knowledge of all related safety and environmental procedures. Required

Other Physical Demands
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
- Work a full rotating 12-hour shift, covering 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
