And we’re just getting started. We are seeking a talented, customer-obsessed Senior UX Researcher to join the growing Prime Video Sports team. You will be responsible for delivering rigorous insights that fundamentally shape and continuously improve how tens of millions of customers around the world watch live sports. This position requires the ability to work quickly, while delivering high-quality outputs in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. The ideal candidate possesses a mixed-methods research background combined with strong organizational and program management skills, and is adept at navigating a complex, multi-org technical environment, while focusing on advocating for the customer at all times. Key job responsibilities -Help define our research strategy and roadmap. -Own and drive end-to-end research studies across multiple product verticals which will result in impactful customer experience enhancements. -Be a customer advocate and thought leader in cross-functional reviews. -Form strong alliances with product, design, engineering, business intelligence, and market research teams to help develop a complete story of the customer. -Ability to dive deep into both qualitative and quantitative data in order to bring forward actionable insights that generate product innovations. -Translate insights into measurable customer experience outcomes aligned to business goals. -Communicate results and opportunities in a clear, concise, and compelling way to all levels of management A day in the life The Senior UX Researcher for Prime Video Sports will lead generative and evaluative research projects aligned to our overall research strategy. These projects are focused on key areas, essential to help inform present and future product roadmaps. You are expected to think like an owner, always raise the quality of the CX, and be a relentless advocate for customers. You will collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, Marketers, Engineers, and fellow UX Researchers both within Prime Video and beyond, to understand opportunities to evolve the live sports experience. You will also use your communication skills and ability to develop actionable insights to help drive impact across Amazon. - Ability to work across a broad range of stakeholders to define and manage a long-term research roadmap for products and features.
- Broad experience with the full range of research methods: qualitative and quantitative, attitudinal and behavioral, with deep expertise in one or more areas.
- Solid understanding of the design process and how research is appropriately integrated at each phase.
- Deep understanding of human motivations, capabilities, and limitations as applied to the design of interactive systems.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills; ability to distill complex ideas into concise and accurate narratives that enlighten and inspire.
- Ability to independently drive multiple concurrent projects in an agile environment.
- Strategic, business-building approach to UX research with a passion for translating data into bottom-line impact.
- Passion for understanding the latest learnings and innovations in behavioral science, research methods, and UX design and applying these to your work.
- Solid grasp of quantitative data analysis and inferential statistics.
- Experience in the utilization of behavioral data and the design and analysis of A-B tests.
- Skill in use of large scale data analysis, data visualization, and knowledge management tools (e.g., R, SPSS, Tableau).
The pay range for this position in New York City is $143,100-$193,600/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
