We are seeking Accountants/CPAs for our Mankato and Albert Lea offices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-related degree with an Accounting minor required. Accounting degree is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is desirable but not required.
• Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound analytical, technical, and tax accounting skills.
• Solid understanding of Internal Revenue Service regulations
• Strong computer skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
• High level of organization and focus with exceptional attention to detail, and strong follow-up skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Willingness to take supervision and guidance.
• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional delivery of quality client service.
• Requires a professional commitment to continuous learning and development.
• Five years of experience in public accounting.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Handles routine client questions and works with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion.
• Regularly collaborates with partners to provide outstanding client service.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns. Including client interviews.
• Assists with the detail work of reviews, compilations, and other assurance services for clients.
• Prepares financial statements, related disclosures, and other required reports.
• Formulate and deliver innovative tax planning strategies.
• Maintain active communications with clients to develop longstanding business relationships, manage expectations and ensure deadlines are met.
• Assist with other projects as needed.
