The Shamrock Corporate Accounting team is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate consolidated financial results in accordance with internal and external financial reporting requirements. This position is a critical part of building out an exceptional Accounting and Finance Team that provides assurance over timely and accurate consolidated results and supporting stewardship of the Company’s financial assets.
Essential Duties:
- Timely Completion of Close responsibilities. This includes preparing journal entries (50+ Manual JE’s) and related reconciliations for intercompany accounts, Balance Sheet accounts including Fixed Assets, Leases, miscellaneous Receivables, Prepaid Expenses, and various Expense accruals. Preparing the Departmental Expense Reports and P&L for upper management. Preparing Lease reports and miscellaneous schedules. Measured by accuracy and timeliness of close, completing in 5 business days.
- Manage the post-close Corporate reporting that is required within one business day after close. Reporting includes ROA, Departmentals, and Metrics. Measured by accuracy and timeliness of report preparation.
- Research expense variance analysis questions. Measured by timeliness of information.
- Maintain and create new financial reports in Microsoft Dynamics Financial Reporter and PowerBI. Measure by accuracy of reports.
- Maintain records of fleet transportation including inventory management, accident reports, and purchase and sale of new assets and leases. Measured by accuracy of reports.
- Prepare and file Compliance related reporting for the fleet division. Measured by timeliness and accuracy of reports.
- Prepare year-end audit and tax schedules. Measured by timeliness and accuracy of reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting from four-year College or University.
- One to three years of relevant accounting experience.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and switch gears seamlessly.
- Must be able to handle stress with composure and critical thinking.
- Proven ability to prioritize workload, multitask and problem solve is a must in this position.
- Strong people skills are a must in this position.
- Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Leverage interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build relationships
- Skilled in organizing and navigating high volume of email communication to ensure timely follow up and accurate task completion
