Staff Software Engineer, Data

$190,000 - $220,000 + Benefits

REMOTE POSITION

THE ROLE

You'll be an instrumental part of existing and future work around data products and data platform. You'll be mentoring and aiding in the growth of your teammates, creating an inclusive, collaborative environment where everybody can succeed together. Your long experience as data technologist will guide the team technically, and will guide the stakeholders in driving the direction of the data.

Specifically, you'll be responsible for the following:

  • Architecting, building, & operating data products sitting at the core of the business, internally & externally
  • Improve visibility into data systems, giving all teams insights on operational state/confidence in the data
  • Deliver reliable, scalable, and modern data system with modern data technologies (Airflow, DBT, data lake patterns, and more)
  • You will be a strong technical leader, contributing to environment that encourages open-mindedness and thought-sharing from all members, and will work across different engineering teams
  • Work to improve processes like project management, spring management, stakeholder visibility

Skillset Requirements:

  • Experience as a software engineer or data engineer with focus on delivering data products with a track record of successful data product delivery in different fast-moving environments, at the Senior-and-up level, solving complex technical challenges at large scale
  • Modern Data Tech Stack (Airflow, DBT, Python, data lake patterns like S3 & Parquet, Redshift, and more)
  • Excellent communication skills to be effective bridge between technical teams and stakeholders
  • Passion for mentoring and guiding others
