Security Public Storage (SPS) is a family-owned and operated self-storage company with 51 self-storage facilities located in California, Oregon, Nevada, Maryland & Virginia.

Job Summary

Seeking a highly ambitious, career oriented professional to work Tuesdays thru Saturdays, 9 am -6 pm assisting in the operating and selling of units at our busy self-storage facility in City of Industry. Advertised rate includes potential commissions and a joining

• $10for every storage unit rented on days you work alone, which we estimate to equate to an additional $1.00-$2.00 per hour – bringing the combined potential equivalent compensation to between $17.00 and $18.00 per hour.

• You will receive six paid holidays per year – including the day off: New Years’ Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
• We offer a 401(k) plan whereby the company matches employee contributions up to 4% of their total wages. You are eligible to participate in the 401(k) after 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Keeping the facility rented at optimum levels by effectively utilizing advertising, promotional and customer relation skills as approved by management
• Provides outstanding customer service including assessing and resolving customer problems and professionally handling telephone, internet, and walk-in inquiries
• Shows, rents and cleans self storage units as well as actively selling and maintaining supplies of moving and packing materials
• Maintains all required tenant documentation in a neat and orderly manner
• Controls delinquencies through telephone contact and letters on a scheduled basis including sending out monthly invoices
• Cleans spaces as vacated, hallways, and grounds as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Customer service, retail sales, marketing, general office and telephone skills
• Good organizational skills
• General office functions and experiences required
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
