Student Success Specialist

• $16.00 - $17.00 per hour *
• $750 stipend for support staff, 2022 - 2023 school year who meet *min eligibility requirements

• Annual merit-based salary increase and bonus opportunity*

South Pointe Elementary is a small K-6th grade program located in South Phoenix. South Pointe Elementary is focused on addressing the physical, emotional and social needs of each child. We are looking for a driven, energetic and hardworking person to join our passionate and dedicated team and support the learning of all students.

Essential Duties:

• Monitor student attendance and academic progress daily

• Contact students who are struggling in school with attendance, grades and credits
• Create plans that meet the student’s individual needs to get them back on track academically
• Work jointly with students struggling academically, their parents/guardian, and teachers to ensure success
• Maintain accurate, complete, and factual records on graduating students

• Celebrate student academic accomplishments
• Completed home visits and other intervention for students, as needed
• Collaborate with team on presentations and field trips focused on learning opportunities

Requirements

• Associates Degree preferred

• Evidence of successful experience in student and parent relations.
• Ability to identify and ensure appropriate academic interventions are implemented
• Demonstrated commitment to young people's learning success and achievement
• Demonstrated proficiency at providing small group and individual mentoring
• Possession of - or able to attain - a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
