Music Studio Assistant Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our music studio as an Assistant. The position is part-time, from 3-6p.m., Monday to Friday, with a total of 15 hours per week. Our studio is located in Quincy, MA, and we provide a supportive and creative environment for musicians and music enthusiasts.

Responsibilities:

Answering Phones: You will be responsible for handling incoming calls and providing excellent customer service. Effective communication skills and a friendly and professional phone manner are essential.

Scheduling: Managing the studio's schedule is a crucial part of this role. You will handle booking appointments, coordinating lesson times, and ensuring that the studio runs smoothly.

Invoicing: As a Music Studio Assistant, you will be responsible for generating and sending invoices to clients. Attention to detail and basic accounting skills are necessary for this task.

Administrative Support: Assisting with general administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, organizing files, and managing emails, will be part of your daily responsibilities.

Social Media Management: Knowledge of social media platforms and the ability to create engaging content are key requirements. You will help maintain and grow our studio's social media presence by creating posts, responding to comments, and interacting with our online community.

Concert Event Assistance: During concert events, additional assistance and hours may be required. This could involve setting up equipment, managing ticket sales, or providing support to performers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or above qualification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Pleasant and engaging personality with exceptional customer service skills
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Familiarity with various social media platforms and tools
• Ability to create engaging social media content using tools such as Canva, Photoshop etc app and softwares
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and invoicing processes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior administrative experience is preferred
• Availability to work additional hours and assist during concert events
• Knowledge or interest in music is a plus

Terms of Employment:

• The position is available starting in July or August.
• The regular work schedule is Monday to Friday from 3-6p.m during the academic year (September to June)
• This is a part-time position with 15 hours per week.
• There will be 48-50 work weeks annually.
• Hourly rate will be between $17 and $22, based on experience.
