Job description
Kesher Inc. is currently looking for a summer program coordinator for our small 26 child program working with children in preschool through entering grade 3. Our focus is on creativity, joy and language and the Arts. Hours are 9-6 Monday through Thursday, 9-3 on Fridays. June 12,2023 through August 11th, 2023. This position can be combined with a school year floating teacher position for a full time position with benefits. EEC lead teacher certification and some administrative experience required.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising staff schedules and mentoring counselors, maintaining health, safety and EEC requirements and supporting students throughout the day
- Offering games and daily activities that incorporate child led play and supports our school's curriculum which includes Jewish values, holidays and themes, some simple Hebrew a plus! No need to be Jewish or have a Jewish background our cultural center is welcoming to all and happy to train.
- Educating children about fundamental concepts, Identity, anti-bias and social justice in a creative inclusive setting.
- Encouraging social interactions between children and improving their self-esteem and independence
- Encouraging active play outdoors and at a variety of public green spaces within .5 miles of our center.
