The Opportunity
This position works out of our Plymouth, MN location in the Structural Heart division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease. This position is a key value-added role within SH Operations Finance that partners with various levels of leadership to drive financial ownership, cost efficiency, and business excellence.
What You’ll Work On
Responsible for complex financial planning, forecasting and reporting for the business.
Provide inventory forecasting and analysis, manufacturing network strategy, business excellence and process improvement.
Consolidation of financials from various global manufacturing sites and divisional cost centers, and provide succinct, effective communication to leadership on business performance to identify opportunities and drive improvement.
Scope of financials including month end close results, quarterly forecasts, and annual Plan and Standard Costs.
Analysis and forecasts in support of annual Plan and quarterly LBE for Division cost centers.
Perform variance analysis and identify key drivers in support of business decisions.
Conduct regular financial reviews with business partners to communicate financial performance and business issues; provide valuable insight to influence business achieve financial goals.
Provide ad-hoc analyses to support complex decision making within global manufacturing operations, and present executive recommendations to management and business leaders; serve as financial lead in cross-functional team environments.
Capital and balance sheet forecast submissions to SH division and Corporate.
Lead Monthly month end reviews with division ops controller and SH Operations Finance Director.
Lead ad hoc projects to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and business excellence.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
5+ years of progressive accounting and/or financial planning and analysis experience, with 3 of the 5 years in cost accounting / manufacturing industry.
Advanced level of proficiency with Excel (e.g., Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, other Excel functionalities)
Proficient with Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
Ability to articulate financial results based on audience.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA / CPA preferred.
Medical device experience.
Strong experience with SAP ERP and Hyperion Planning/Essbase systems.
