Overview:
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate should be a good communicator with an even-tempered personality who can lead effectively. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the facility and production equipment. The Fresno Plant has polystyrene foam extrusion lines, reclaim extruders, thermoformers, meat tray packaging equipment, and plant production support equipment. This leader does this by working with the maintenance team to determine the direction, timing, and coordination of necessary repairs.

Maintenance Supervisor | Hiring Immediately

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate should be a good communicator with an even-tempered personality who can lead effectively. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the facility and production equipment. The Fresno Plant has polystyrene foam extrusion lines, reclaim extruders, thermoformers, meat tray packaging equipment, and plant production support equipment. This leader does this by working with the maintenance team to determine the direction, timing, and coordination of necessary repairs.
The position reports to the Technical Manager and will work with closely with the production leaders. The position will supervise the Parts Clerk, Maintenance Planner, and the Maintenance Mechanics.
Responsibilities:
- Providing effective floor leadership within the framework of a fast-paced production area
- Hire and hold employees accountable to workmanship as needed.
- Manage & Drive the Preventative Maintenance Program
- Support & follow the Process Safety Management Program elements
- Schedule resources to complete scheduled inspections & component replacement plans, as required.
- Completion of required documentation to meet Safety, Environmental and Pactiv Production system elements.
- Responsible for education & training, and leadership of maintenance personnel and their daily work assignments.
- Lead & Supervise the parts crib stocking and storage strategy to meet the goals of our Maintenance, Repair and Operations inventory (MRO) reduction plan.
- Directly oversee plant start-up and shut-down procedures to save energy and prevent machine wear.
- Working towards maximizing operational efficiency and best maintenance practices
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
- Supervisory and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Preferred manufacturing experience in extrusion and thermoforming
- We would like to see prior experience with critical support equipment to include: air compressors, air dryers, vacuum pumps, and water treatment systems
- Strong understanding of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
- Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of product
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels in the organization
