Job description
The Supplier Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting Rehrig Pacific Company's supplier quality program to account for stakeholder needs from Procurement, New Product Development, Manufacturing Operations, Safety and Quality Assurance. The Supplier Quality Specialist will have to coordinate inspection and analysis activity on current products along with supporting the rework and implementation of ECR related change points. The Supplier Quality Specialist helps identify risks and issues through analysis and durability testing of warranty return parts, as well as new products to market. All activity performed by the role will have to be reported and tracked for accountability and effectiveness.

Field Service Support
- Engage with the Integrated solutions team in field analysis at customer sites to ensure good understanding of true root cause of issues related to current production products.
- Supports ECR implementation in the field and at customer sites to ensure quality is controlled during this activity
- Support “Go Live” activity to promote internal conformance with our supplier quality manual.
- Continuously review of newly launched products at customer sites at 30/60/90-day checkpoints.

PDI Lead
- Coordinate and lead all PDI activity at DSD or HCFA activity
- Establish a standard reporting system for feedback of non-conforming items found during activity
- Support ECR or rework activity prior to shipment of new product to the field.
- Support shipment schedule of all out going product to ensure internal alignment and shipping goals are met.

Warranty review/analysis process of all 0–90-day component returns
- Establishes a process to ensure all failed parts within the first 90 days of product in field are returned and tracked
- Perform teardown analysis of returned parts and establish a reporting system for true root cause of failure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand trend failure items in the field and report corrective actions along with implementation dates.
- Communicate monthly to stakeholders on current trend items identified and activity to correct those items.

Development and execution validation testing
- Supporting NPD in the development of all new product testing requirements
- Coordinates all testing for tooling and 1st article samples
- Develop a standardized testing plan and reporting format.
- Establish and approve new testing partners to support future programs and products
Drives continuous improvement across all areas to ensure Rehrig Pacific quality targets are met.

- Provides formal reports on supply chain metrics and activities to Rehrig senior leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Acts promptly and with agility regarding supplier quality risks and issues to prevent disruption to Rehrig operations. (Decision Quality & Situational Adaptability)
- Travel up to an estimated 50%.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing quality or supplier quality role
- B.S. Degree or formal certification in Quality Management
- Experience in testing standards and reporting (ASTM preferred)
- Experience with Quality standards (ISO9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.0 or comparable)
- Experience with hands-on technical analysis
- Experience as a project manager leading new product implementations into manufacturing (internally or suppliers)
- Advanced experience applying statistical process control techniques to evaluate and improve process performance
- Advanced RCCA skills
- Excellent communicator (verbal & written) and an ability to summarize and communicate information clearly
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Rehrig Pacific, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,400.00 to $84,000.00.
