Job Title: Supply Superintendent

Department: Base Operations & Maintenance

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for overseeing the supply of materials required for our clients operations, enduring that they are sourced, ordered, and delivered on time and within budget. The Supply Superintendent will work closely with the Material Management team and other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient procurement and supply chain process.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, implement, and oversee processes for increased productivity and growth

  • Design daily operational programs that produce organizational objectives

  • Manage employee activities, providing suitable support resources

  • Establish and grow relationships with appropriate partners

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department

  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations

  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement and inventory strategies to ensure an adequate supply of materials required for our clients operation

  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, supply patterns, and vendor performance to identify areas for improvement

  • Develop and Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers, and work closely with them to resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, and price

  • Develop SOP for all assigned sections to provide guidelines for daily operational requirements

  • Oversee and ensure the following programs are managed properly; Precious Metals Recovery, ESD, Functional Checks, Shelf Life, MSRP, Bench Stock, Supply Point, SDR and DRMO Programs

  • Provide Andersen AFB with Base Supply services to include the management of supplies commercially and non-commercially assigned to SRAN FB5240

  • Manage Equipment and Individual Equipment requirements and supplies to include but not limited to Hazardous Materials, Classified, Munitions, Small Arms, and general cargo IAW established regulations and local procedural guidelines

  • Knowledge of the Operation of Standard Air Force Information Systems related to supply services; contingency requirements, Inventory Management, Hazmart Control & Management, Flight Service Center/Pick-up and Delivery, Mission Requirement, and Warehousing Services

  • Shall be available to physically respond within 30 minutes of telephone notification during normal duty hours and within one hour after normal duty hours to include weekend and holidays

  • Typical duties include supporting the Supply Manager, standard base supply system analysis, budget management, client and corporate coordination, and day-to-day tasking from PACAF HQ

  • Familiar with management of timecard requirements for Pay Com and ADP, Quality Control requirements, Safety, Environmental, and Health Management

  • Familiar with Government Service Contract Management, Cost Plus Budget and Cost Control management, and familiar with Human Resources programs

  • Must be familiar with daily vehicle inspection/operation requirements, knowledge of the PWS and enforce its requirement

  • Must have the ability to clearly communicate in writing and orally and the ability to analyze comprehensive Base Supply logistics reports and cost control reports

  • Must have the ability to collect data, interpret information, and provide solutions in a changing environment

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient written and oral communication skills according to skill requirements

  • Possess strong computer skills, able to read, write, and comprehend written instructional documents

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times stressful environment

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

  • Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra and geometry

  • Proficient Microsoft Office productivity suite

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 2 years of related experience required

  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the materials management field

  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and vendor management

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Knowledge of SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged period of standing, bending, reaching, and working with hands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Occasional periods of prolonged exposure to loud noises

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times

  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands as necessary

  • Ability to hear and see to position and safety requirement levels

  • Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals

Special Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be able to successfully pass, as required, a federal, state, or local government background investigation
