Dermatologist Medical Group of North County, one of the premier dermatology practices with three locations across greater San Diego area is looking for a Surgery Coordinator/Medical Assistant to coordinate outpatient surgeries.

Required experience:

• One year of experience in medical office environment, dermatology experience a plus
• One year of experience with Electronic Medical Records system
• One year of experience of surgery scheduling

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately and proficiently schedule MOHS surgeries, excisions, electrodesiccation, NPO, suture removals and brachytherapy.
• Assist Dermatopathologist in essential functions related to diagnosis entry and documentation review.
• Ensure timely review of the EMA Pathology module to include ordering deepers/re-cuts, blocks, special stains and sending second opinions.
• Accurately and proficiently document pre-op questionnaire and ensure proper follow up with patient and provider.
• Review patient records to ensure accuracy and correct, if needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and coworkers in a professional manner.
• Organized, self-motivated who can work independently as well as part of a team
• Must be able to travel between three office locations within San Diego County.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
