Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the team with all aspects of ESG consulting engagements, benchmarking studies, energy audits, energy modeling, and project implementation;
- Analyze and input utility bill information for energy analyses;
- Assist with technical requirements to support green building projects;
- Assist in data collection, field visits, and report writing;
- Complete ESG checklists;
- Perform benchmarking analyses;
- Execute project tasks on time and with technical proficiency; and,
- Maintain target utilization rate.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science or related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of ESG reporting standards;
- Familiarity with CALGreen and Title 24 energy code;
- LEED, GPR, or other Green Credential; and/or,
- Experience with energy modeling.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English;
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone;
- Must have a valid driver’s license;
- Ability to adjust work schedule to meet deadlines;
- Self-directed, organized, and able to work with minimum supervision;
- Demonstrated interest in the building science, energy efficiency and/or sustainability fields; and,
- Demonstrated basic knowledge in technical subject matter including building systems (HVAC, building envelope, and lighting systems).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen;
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs;
- Ability to work outdoors and in unconditioned rooms on occasion;
- Must have ability to travel approximately 20% of the time both in and out of state; and,
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift.
