POSITION:
Consortium, Internationals, and Outward Bound (CIOB) Principal Coach
(APPROXIMATELY 1 position) for CIOB schools and programs supervised by Superintendent Cheng
LOCATION:
Various ACCESS Consortium, Internationals, and Outward Bound District offices & school locations citywide
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Open to currently retired certified NYCDOE Principals who have worked with CIOB schools for 3+ years
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Experience leading and/or supporting NYCDOE CIOB schools
- Leadership coaching experience
- Experience with CIOB district levers for equitable outcomes: Competency-Based Learning (CBL), Project-Based Learning (PBL), Work-Based Learning (WBL), Restorative Classroom Practices
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and computer literacy skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Satisfactory / Effective /Highly Effective ratings (3 years preferred)
- Satisfactory record of attendance and punctuality
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet regularly with superintendent/designee to ensure coaching is aligned to district priorities
- Work with principal to define leadership growth goals in line with district priorities
- Provide principal with ongoing coaching and support toward achieving leadership growth goals
- Coach principal in monitoring and engaging in continuous improvement strategies to move key data points
- Submit time-keeping documents and work product no later than 6/30/2023
WORK SCHEDULE:
Up to 180+ hours. Work will be done during regular work hours.
Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.
SALARY:
Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent Upon Funding Availability.
