About the team

The IT group supporting a bank in Puerto Rico ensure smooth and secure operation of the bank’s technology infrastructure. Their role is crucial in providing reliable and efficient services to Clients while safeguarding their financial data.

What you will be doing

A system administrator is a crucial member of an organization's IT team. They are responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's computer systems, including servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.

System administrators work to ensure that the organization's systems operate smoothly, are secure, and are properly backed up. They are often the first line of defense against cyber threats and play a critical role in keeping an organization's data and systems safe.

• Installing and configuring software and hardware, including servers, networks, operating systems, and other applications.
• Maintaining and managing the organization's computer systems, including monitoring system performance, identifying and troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system security.
• Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and making recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.
• Collaborating with other IT team members and departments to ensure that the organization's technology infrastructure supports its business goals and objectives.
