JOB OVERVIEW

This position is primarily responsible for assisting with the external reporting process to produce SEC quality financial reports for TeamHealth and its affiliates, the internal reporting process, technical accounting research and conclusions, and meeting compliance objectives relative to Sarbanes-Oxley.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Prepare SEC quality reporting, including quarterly and annual reports, earnings release, and investor presentations, and maintain auditable supporting documentation for such filings and presentations.
  • Prepare internal monthly reporting schedules, including monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for other monthly reports and board presentations.
  • Maintain, update records and complete monthly journal entries including, but not limited to; equity/deferred compensation, leases, contingent purchase expense, amortization of intangible assets, etc.
  • Maintain and update quarterly and annual bank compliance reporting packages, including debt financial covenants.
  • Complete special projects as assigned, including provision of information requested by equity sponsor, US Census reports, and other.
  • Assist with purchase accounting for acquisitions, including working with third-party valuation specialists with respect to the determination and allocation of purchase price and treatment of unique transaction matters.
  • Assist in the research, analysis, interpretation, and documentation of various technical accounting issues, new accounting pronouncements, and non-traditional accounting alternatives within the GAAP framework.
  • Assist with the Company’s internal audit program to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and 2013 COSO Framework requirements.
  • Assist in managing communication with external auditors for quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgeted and projected statement of cash flow and balance sheet.
  • Participate in preparation of monthly and quarterly close items as assigned.
  • Display strong written and interpersonal communication skills while being able to communicate ideas effectively and concisely to all levels of employees.

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

The job qualifications for this position are as follows:

  • Bachelors or masters in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation required
  • 4-6 years accounting experience, public accounting preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly spreadsheet analysis
  • Experience with Wdesk and Shareworks preferred
  • Excellent financial and operational analysis skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines and adapt to rapid change
  • Excellent judgment/decision making skills and
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to manage and direct others
