Job Description

The main tasks of a Technical Sales Specialist are to find and convert new opportunities and develop and maintain relationships with customers. Finding new opportunities involves going to trade shows, networking with existing users, and calling potential new customers in the US. Opportunities also come to Gamry from incoming cold calls and website information requests.
To be effective at this, the specialist must learn how Gamry products work and develop a basic knowledge of electrochemical applications. Cultivating an opportunity requires following a well-defined sales process, and elevating discussions to an application scientist when required. After closing a sale, the specialist’s job is to maintain a communication channel with the user, providing post-sale assistance and connecting the user with an application scientist or technical support engineer when required.

Up to 30% travel within North America is possible.

You will be reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Founded in 1989, we develop laboratory equipment used in a variety of industries including corrosion and materials testing, batteries and power conversion, catalysis, biological monitoring, sensors, and basic research. Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office and testing environment. This position requires good technical English, and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Work will be based at the Gamry offices in Warminster, PA.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or related science.
  • Scientific instrumentation experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to learn a wide variety of electrochemical applications.
  • Must enjoy interacting with customers and co-workers.
  • Good technical English and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing is required.
