Major Responsibilities
Develop and sustain a strong understanding of the individual Logan Aluminum Business Unit processes by correlating information technologies and business process improvement. Build business case and justifications for Business Unit projects and contributes to the developing of business case and justifications for major expense/capital projects. Leads the technical design, build, integration, and implementation of reliable information systems that meet the organization’s requirements. Coordinate business requirement definition sessions and technical systems design initiative. Contribute to the direction and pace of technology deployment for Logan Aluminum’s business units. Contribute to project and technology life cycle budgets. Level 2 support for multiple types of system problems 24x7x365.
Position Accountabilities
- Knowledge of technological systems and budget policies as they reference Information Services is unique to this position.
- Must coordinate projects, monitor spending, and assist in project completion simultaneously. 66% of influence is based on expertise, with the remainder based on interpersonal skills.
- Independent thinking is necessary due to probable isolation in times of decision making.
- Problem solving is most difficult when resources are unattainable due to time constraints and budget inadequacies.

Preferred Experience
Strong knowledge of VMware 6.0 or higher to include vCenter, vSphere, and ESX 6.x. Experience with rack/wiring diagrams, firmware, and driver management. Experience with multi-site infrastructure deployments. Solid understanding of networking, VLAN, and VXLAN. Ability to configure and integrate storage devices (SAN) supporting VMware infrastructure. NSX setup and Administration.
Responsibilities also include
VMware administration responsible for configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and overall support of multiple VMware environments. Setup, install, configure, and triage ESXi. Maintain and restore VM backups and snapshots.
Provide security and network support for virtual networking and firewall services. Ensure virtual network reliability, availability, and security through well-planned and implemented solutions. Configure and monitor network security layers, IDS/IPS rules and alerts. Support operations and maintenance of VMware virtual infrastructure including vCenter, NSX, and vRealize Network Insight.
Perform Systems Lifecycle management for all equipment, including planning, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, consolidation, and decommissioning of enterprise hardware, and software. Detects, isolates, documents, reports, and resolves system outages or problems encountered during operations of the operational baseline, which includes collecting diagnostic data, restore the system operation, developing workarounds, and other activities necessary for recovery of a system. Performs system monitoring, analyzing, documenting performance, and conducting trend analysis as required. Develop technical documentation, user guides, test plans, disaster recovery, and failover.
Additional Information: Excellent, demonstrable problem-solving skills, diagnostic capabilities, and ability and confidence to take calculated risks are necessary. Should possess strong communication skills and strong technical skills, as well as technical writing skills.

Education: Minimum 4-year college degree.
Technology Analyst I - Entry-Level
Technology Analyst II - 3+ years of experience.
Technology Analyst III - 5+ years of experience.
Sr. Technology Analyst - 7+ years of experience.
Essential Physical, Sensory, and Mental Requirements
Incumbent will sit 6 hours, stand 1 hour and walk 1 hour per day. Stairs will be climbed at least 1 hour per month. Will use computer keyboard 6 hours per day and phone 2 hours. Will work under time pressure 3 hours per day. Will walk on level and stable surfaces. Good vision, hearing and speaking are necessary 8 hours per day. Reading and writing are daily activities. Drawing conclusions from data and creating methods of goal accomplishment as well as researching personnel issues are paramount. Coordinating persons and resources daily is essential. Evaluating others’ performance is an annual activity. Will work indoors at a desk in a comfortable office environment.
