SUMMARY: A Room Service Attendant takes orders and delivers food and beverage items to guests in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner. The attendant ensures room service station set ups are complete prior to service and at the end of the shift. The attendant communicates and works closely with kitchen staff to ensure customer satisfaction.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Maintain all inventories of needed supplies.
- Answer the telephone and take all customer orders in a professional manner
- Delivers food & beverages to hotel guest’s room while maintaining superior guest service
- Complete all guest payment transactions accurately
- Clear trays from rooms and hallways
- Responsible for keeping the room service staging area clean and organized
- Perform set-up and closing side-work; make coffee…
- Responsible for all monies, charge slips, bank etc…
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons
- The Food & Beverage staffs are required to wash their hands on a frequent basis to ensure cleanliness of the Food & Beverage operations
- All other duties as assigned by management
