Job Description:
In support of the Firm’s HRIS systems, you will play a critical role in supporting our HRIS & Total Rewards management and the HRIS system (UKG). This position will work collaboratively with the Company's People & Culture and Finance departments, as well as with third-party partners. The Total Rewards Specialist will report to the Manager, HRIS & Total Rewards and be responsible for the administration and processing of benefits, compensation, health & wellness and back up to payroll. This role can be successfully performed in office, remote or hybrid.
Tasks:
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Administer various benefits programs, which include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance, FSA plans, HSA accounts, Critical Illness, Accident, Worker’s Comp, and 401(k) plans.
- Serve as the main contact for benefit administration activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with online benefits administration and employee self-service sites. Assume primary responsibility for ongoing utilization of the site’s features and procedures including eligibility management, enrollment management, billing, reporting, and maintenance.
- Administer leave plans for FMLA, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability and Worker’s Compensation.
- Partner with benefits broker to resolve customer/vendor issues.
- Draft and coordinate the preparation of employee communications.
- Establish and maintain familiarity with provisions of existing as well as new federal and state laws to help determine impact on benefit plans and ensure compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, Section 125 and regulations.
- Assist with the Open Enrollment process, create communication to employees, review, and update Benefits system with new rates when appropriate. Monitor Benefits System to ensure changes are sent to vendors in timely manner. Ensure that file feeds are set up and going over correctly.
- Assist in reviewing, developing, implementing and ongoing administration of total rewards policies and processes; evaluate and analyze market salary data to develop salary structures
- Evaluates jobs to assist with the determination of appropriate salary level and Department of Labor’s Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) classification.
- Assists with market data to determine, establish, and maintain desired market competitive position.
- Researches and analyzes competitive compensation practices in the job market and contributes to established compensation surveys.
- Completes ad-hoc projects, including researching and analyzing data, organizing the data into meaningful documentation and presentation material, drawing sound conclusions, and making appropriate recommendations.
- Back up to Payroll Specialist.
- Assist with payroll processing and inquires as needed.
- Ad Hoc payroll and reporting responsibilities as needed.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five (5) years direct work experience in Benefits or Compensation may be considered as a substitute for a degree.
- Minimum three (3) years of employee benefit experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of progressive and varied compensation experience.
- Prior experience working with Insurance Companies directly and with Benefits Broker.
- Prior experience in 401(k) administration, working with outside audit team and knowledge about 5500 filing/ experience with quarterly 401(k) investment review a plus.
- Working knowledge of federal and benefit laws and regulations.
- Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Ability to be flexible and reprioritize/multitask to accommodate changing priorities.
- Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with a HRIS is required (UKG preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work with a team and independently.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and employee privacy.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
