Overview:
Competitive Compensation
The Trailor Mechanic I is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on class 8 equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs on class 8 equipment within employee current skill level.
- Inspect equipment during the repair process to determine if additional repairs are necessary.
- Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Covenant Transport Services.
Knowledge Skills, and Abilities
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to understand, communicate, read, and write the English language.
- Must have the physical ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis and 95 lbs. on a frequent basis.
- Must have physical ability to climb, bend and stoop.
- Must have physical ability to always work while on feet.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
Education and Experience
- Currently attending or recent graduate of a High School automotive or diesel program
- Currently attending or recent graduate of an accredited Diesel Equipment Technology program
