Transports patients to and from various departments in a professional and
customer service oriented manner. Utilizes basic knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques to maneuver patients from carts and wheelchairs. Understands precautionary standards. Adheres to guidelines and policies to safely perform the functions of the job. Maintains a professional relationship with staff members throughout the hospital to ensure hand off communication is accurate and complete. Has a basic knowledge of the Radiology Information System and the Electronic Medical Records system for proper documentation of patient transport and assistning in Radiology offices when needed.
