This person will own the trim development from concept all the way through production. Are you someone who loves everything about materials and the trims that are the building blocks for any great style? Are you a person who follows material and trim technologies and new sustainable and innovations in the apparel market.? We are looking for someone who can roll with lots of different tasks, competing priorities, and multiple projects at any given time.
What you’ll do:
- Meet with Trim vendors for new inspiration and research.
- The development of trends, themes, concepts, techniques, and materials from proto stage to production with the sustainable mindset.
- Manage and create seasonal trim inspiration boards for show back to design team.
- Lead trim process and development calendar with Product Development Director.
- Maintain trim liability boards for design team to utilize seasonally.
- Partner with Design team to confirm new developments seasonally.
- Launch new seasonal trim development with vendors.
- Review trim approvals with design team and maintain standards in trim library
- Enter new approved trim into development tracking tool (Image, cost property, etc)
- Issue Purchase orders to vendors for SMS samples and pre-booking on LLT items.
- Create and maintain Seasonal trim Boards and seasonal SMS Trim chart.
- Partner with PD on pulling of trims to send out for SMS.
- Maintain organization and make sure all basic trims are replenished in supplier.
- Attend weekly meetings with production team to advise Eta's and to call out issues.
- Maintain Trim Recap, correspond daily with vendors to negotiate pricing, payment terms and ready dates to meet production timeline.
- Testing for quality, make sure trims are meeting US and international requirement and regulation.
What you’ll have:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6+ years of experience in trims and accessories development & sourcing in apparel market
- Strong and proven ability to multi-task and create processes
- Profound product and technical knowledge in high end brands products with good
fashion sense - Excellent organizational Skills, communication and presentation skills
- Affinity for working in a team environment
- Thorough knowledge of technical trim & hardware design development techniques and commercialization
- Familiar with Bluesign RSL is a plus
We aim to pay competitively for our size and industry. The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000 per year, but we will consider location, skill level and experience to determine the final offer. In addition to salary, we offer all Faherty employees an annual bonus opportunity as well as benefits and perks, outlined below.
