Job description

We are looking to hire Unix System Administrator L3 Support Engineer in Cary, NC. Below are the necessary requirements for this position.

Unix Admin L3+ support :

• Must to have Enterprise Unix Operating Systems Support – RedHat 6,7&8, Oracle Linux 6&7, Solaris 10&11 and CentOS

• Must to have knowledge in Enterprise Storage Support – NetApp 7-mode, C-mode, Hitachi, ZFS storage and Oracle Exadata storage cell

• Hands on in Hardware Support – Oracle Engineered Systems, E25k, T4, T5-8, T6320, M6, T8-4, M5000, M9000 sparc servers

• Should have knowledge in Configuration Management tools like Ansible, Puppet ,Terraform

• Should have hands on Server Provisioning, Configuration, Patching and Update – Kickstart, OVM, Automated Installer (AI), Fabric, etc.

• Monitoring and Collaboration tools - Nagios,Service Now, Splunk, Eracent

• Should have Scripting -Unix bash shell, python

• Should have sound knowledge in Server and storage migrations

• Good to have Containerization and Orchestration in Docker and Kubernetes

• Should have Troubleshooting idea on – Sar, top, tcpdump, snoop, strace, vmstat, iostat, free, grep, netstat, awk, iostat, lsof, proc, cat

• Virtualization and Cloud – AWS (EC2, S3, EBS), EXSi VMWare, Hyper-V, Oracle VM (Sparc & x86), VirtualBox

• Good to have Standards Practice and Risk Management – ITIL/ITSM, COBIT Framework

• Backup and Recovery - NetApp dump & snapvault, NetBackup, PPDM, NDMP, tar, cpio, ufsdump, rsync, dd, cloning

• Services & Protocols – LDAP, DNS, NTP, Chrony, Sendmail, TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, SSH, SFTP, FTP, SCP, Xterm

• File System and Disk Volume Management – NFS, VxFS, ZFS, LVM, VxVM, GFS, BTRFS, ext3/4, XFS

• Storage Networking Protocols and Services – FC, iSCSI, Samba, NFS, CIFS, ASM for oracle database

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Cary, NC 27513: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
