VERY NEGOTIABLE!!! Minimum salary of $70,000 (dependent upon license and experience) annually plus 3 weeks of vacation, 11 calendar holidays (Includes 2 floating holidays), 24 hours personal time, sick time, health insurances, a flexible work schedule, and all of the amenities listed at the bottom!
Family Counseling Service of NNY ("FCS"), a multidisciplinary, private, nonprofit behavioral health agency since 1958, is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and compassionate human service and nonprofit-minded Clinical Director. The Director will lead its program of clinicians and billing staff, will provide individual and family therapy, and will develop new programming to address unmet client needs. Presently FCS offers therapy for children and adults, families, couples and groups to Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence county residents.
FCS and its sister agency, the Resolution Center of Jefferson and Lewis Counties, realize the strength of its one-of-a-kind conflict intervention practice is its EXCEPTIONAL staff. They support a shared team in building a thriving and growing caseload upon a culture of innovative programs to meet community needs, professionalism, a friendly work environment, and healthy work/life balance.
Schedule: FLEXIBLE! 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of clinical operations following the agency mission and to achieve budget and growth goals.
- Support clinicians and program staff in development of interventions that lead to case progression.
- Ensure program staff are providing quality trauma-informed, solution-focused evaluation, evidence-informed treatment to adults, children, families, and groups.
- Provide supervision to the program clinicians, as needed.
- Carry a caseload as the primary therapist utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Oversee clinical documentation as required by contracted agencies, funders, insurance companies, etc. in a timely, efficient manner.
- Ensure documentation and program compliance (ex. HIPAA) with all regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies for high quality services with fidelity to clinical and program models that reflect best practice standards.
- Manage the hiring, evaluation, promotion, and discipline of paid and volunteer clinical personnel; and define roles and responsibilities.
- Promote a work environment that encourages proactive and transparent communication and accountability between therapists and the administration.
- Support the training and professional development of staff through orientation and continuing education. Encourage innovation of new counseling practices.
- Meet productivity requirements by utilizing various techniques to engage clients and minimize failed appointments while guiding his/her team to do the same.
- Represent the agency to the community and build positive working relationships with community members and referral partners.
- Support and model appropriate interdisciplinary team work, including direct communication with DSS caseworkers, judges, attorneys, and the like to clients and staff.
- Build a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for clients and team members.
Experience and Skills:
- Clear and active LMHC or LCSW for New York State.
- Experience in clinical supervision required with demonstrated experience in provision of individual and group modalities.
- Demonstrated use of effective leadership and teambuilding skills.
- Already credentialed to accept regional health insurance is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of clinical interventions with varied populations.
- Knowledge and experience formulating clinical diagnoses and coaching clinicians through the process.
- Experience and confidence identifying and implementing evidence-based practices.
- Experience and passion for counseling children and knowledge of child welfare laws are a plus!
- Understanding of fee-for-service billable services required.
- Experience in a nonprofit setting and with fundraising are a plus.
- Strong planning, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication, and workplace conflict management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Google Calendar, and Zoom.
- Commitment to continued learning on issues related to race, equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Able to pass all background checks upon hiring and throughout employment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
- Must be able to ascend and descend four (4) floors of stairs when the elevator is inoperative.
