Job Summary:
Advance Practice Provider will serve as an outpatient provider to patients within the Urology practice located at Upstate Community Physicians of Building. Responsibilities include Provides advance practice nursing care to patients, families and the community through assessment, planning, prescribing and evaluation interventions. Coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care delivered. Performs outpatient evaluation and management including, completion of office visits and consultations, ordering appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, and therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians and all members of the health care team. An Advance Practice Provider is a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team who demonstrates professionalism and leadership within the institution who exemplifies the Upstate mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Upstate policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a specialty area is preferred but not a must. Department will train and support those interested in learning the field of Urology.
