Tradeport Utility, Shipping/Receiving/General Utility, 1st Shift

Starting at 7:00AM until work is completed. Minimum 4 hours up to 12 hours per day.

In this role, the qualified candidate will be working at our Swisher’s Tradeport facility, located near the Jacksonville, FL airport.

As a Shipping/Receiving Warehouse Utility you will be expected to do the following:

• Must be able to safely operate forklift and all warehouse powered equipment for the full shift
• Pick product for customer orders by manually lifting and moving product
• Unload/load import/export containers using industrial power equipment
• Perform miscellaneous mobilift tasks
• Label/stamp and count customer orders
• Set aside and repair damaged product
• Arrange and stock pick areas
• Assist in the inventory process
• Placement of product in the warehouse
• Sort and segregate pallets
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Adhere to all company work and safety rules
• Assist in execution of other assignments as directed by supervisor to support warehouse safety policies and procedures
• Training in all positions currently operating in the warehouse is required
• Qualified personnel provide on the job training

Job Requirements

• High school diploma preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Pallet jack and lift truck training strongly preferred
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and exposed to warm or cold temperatures

Physical abilities:

• Occasionally gripping, carrying, pivoting, pushing, lifting, pulling up to 50 Lbs.
• Occasionally standing and walking on surface type (s): Concrete.
• Continuously sitting, hearing, seeing and repetitive movement using both hands and feet.
