We are seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. Hourly pay for our full-time Veterinary Technician position ranges between $20.00-$26.00 per hour, based on relevant experience.

El Dorado Animal Hospital is a full service, small animal hospital located in the beautiful town of Fountain Hills, Arizona, only a short distance away from Scottsdale, Phoenix and Mesa. At El Dorado Animal Hospital our goal is to preserve and enhance the human-animal bond, by providing quality medicine, along with a flexible schedule, benefits, and a great team of supportive and caring veterinary professionals.

Schedule:

• 4 10 hour shifts with rotating Saturday hours. The hospital is open Monday – Saturday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. No overnights or Sunday shifts.

Requirements:

• 1-year minimum working in a veterinary related setting or schooling
• Ability safelylift 50+ pound with assistance
• Ability to communicate with others effectively and clearly
• Passion for preserving the human-animal bond
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities included (but are not limitedto):

• Act as an advocate for the patients and communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members
• Understand proper animal care, handling techniques and medical terminology
• Perform blood draws, set catheters, run in house laboratory tests, obtain vitals, position for radiographs, restrain animals
• Proper phone etiquette for scheduling appointments, checking on patients and answering the phone when needed
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, follow OSHA, AAHA & CFP guidelines
