VP of Accounting

What You Will Be Doing

• You will create protocols and work with the asset management team to assure the correctness of all balance sheets and cash flow statements in property financial statements issued by third-party management organizations.
• Verify the accuracy of all acquisition entries for all acquired assets on the property financials.
• Review waterfall payouts from partnerships to make sure entries are appropriately recorded on the financial accounts and that the right supporting documentation is given to investor limited partners and external auditing firms.
• Review the monthly financial review procedure for property-level financials created by outside management firms, and offer suggestions for the interview review procedure
• Direct the management of the company's cash, securities, and assets of various investment funds in conjunction with senior management. control consumer banking interactions
• Oversee the senior property accountant and outsourced bookkeeping through Real Page, as well as all other parts of the property management accounting responsibilities.
• Review current check signature and invoice authorization procedures, then apply best practices to prevent fraud.
• Corporate Accountingmaintain financial records for Reliant Property Management, including control of management fee billing and out-of-pocket expense reimbursement.
• Oversee the monthly and yearly financial statements that the internal and external accounting teams provide for the full portfolio of projects that you are in charge of monitoring
• Guarantee the correctness, consistency, and timeliness of financial transactions and reports relating to real estate, policies and procedures must be developed, reviewed, and improved.
• Implement top practices for cash management and internal controls across all assets, such as keeping an eye on monthly bank reconciliations and examining financial statements
• Give management advice on possible liabilities and loss prevention measures.
• In order to prepare for annual financial audits, coordinate with external auditors and give them the data they require.
• Implement strategies to make financial statements more useful, such as enhancing G/L source document accessibility and G/L transaction descriptions' clarity.
• Create workable budgets for the company, taking into account the long-term requirements of each department.
• Examine trends to lower the costs connected with investing or spending money.
