GBMC Healthcare, a nationally recognized and trusted community healthcare provider for more than 50 years, is looking for a dynamic healthcare leader to serve as Vice President of Clinical and Support Operations.
A key member of the GBMC Healthcare executive team the Vice President of Clinical and Support Operations will report directly to the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Greater Baltimore Medical Center, and will lead work in the following areas:
- Collaborates with all levels of the organization to provide leadership, strategic and tactical planning & development, and direct the daily operations of assigned clinical/ancillary services to include: Oncology Services, Imaging Services, Laboratory Services, Environmental Services, Transportation, Food and Nutrition, and Volunteer Services.
- Develops, implements, and ensures achievement of short- and long-term strategic goals.
- Recognizes the role of the community and its needs and includes these needs in the development of assigned services’ clinical programs and business planning.
- Produces revenue growth through participation in activities such as physician recruitment, promotion of assigned clinical/ancillary services to physicians and insurers and promotion of managed care contracting.
- Works closely with other Medical Center personnel affected by the Ancillary Services Department to ensure the smooth operation of Medical Center activities.
- Develops, secures approval of, implements and administers, operating and capital budgets.
- Provide innovative leadership and direction that supports the mission, vision and values of GBMC Healthcare.
Successful VP of Clinical and Support Operations candidates should have the following certifications, training, experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree, preferred
- 15 years of progressive experience in Healthcare Management, preferably in management with a proven record of success in budgeting/finance, and strategic business planning and execution.
- Proven experience as a senior healthcare leader within a matrix reporting structure.
- Experience leading functionally integrated, transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills, to include compassion, collaboration, self-awareness, conflict management and resolution.
