VP of IT Apps Payer Sales


Overview

Edifecs is seeking a seasoned and transformational Head of IT Apps Payer Sales, to serve as a key member and business leader to the Sales Leadership Team. This leader will be responsible for inspirational sales leadership and management of growth opportunities for Edifecs, through growing revenues and driving new business. As the Head of Payer Sales, you will be responsible for building, expanding, and coaching our team of Senior Sales Executives on your team. Our ideal candidate has been in several sales leadership roles in the SaaS healthcare industry and possesses strong leadership qualities, intelligence, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a high-energy personality.

What
you will do:


Sales and Executive Leadership

  • This position will report to the Chief Revenue Officer, Edifecs, and participate as an active member of the Sales Management team and contribute in all aspects of company development including strategic planning & creation of GTM strategies, financial management, marketing, operations, product roadmap definition and other leadership team functions
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan/roadmap including target market & buyer definition, ideal client profile attributes, business problem-product capability alignment, and competitive strategies
  • Advise on and continually re-evaluate sales compensation plans to ensure market competitiveness and optimal sales team motivation
  • Responsible for continually analyzing market opportunities and providing long-term sales projections, setting growth targets, and seeking out new markets for our solutions
  • Identify staffing needs & recommend a sales organizational structure for the Payer Sales team to meet revenue objectives for Payer Sales most effectively and within an acceptable cost-of-sales model
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present to a wide range of constituents including employees, vendors, major corporations, and potentially the media, bankers, and analysts
  • Collaborate with the marketing team regarding branding, messaging, trade show management, webinars, lead generation and tracking, sales collateral development, and other marketing communications activities
  • Work with the Design and Development teams to ensure that market feedback is provided for future product consideration and that the sales team is properly trained to present Edifecs product capabilities and benefits


Sales
Management

  • Responsible for Sales Payer Revenue target for Edifecs Smart Trading, Encounter Management, and Enrollment Management solutions, as well as building a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities for rolling 12 months
  • Manage monthly/quarterly revenue forecasting for software license and professional services, as well as client renewal revenues
  • Responsible for sales team recruiting & hiring, coaching/mentoring, motivating, and generally clearing internal and external hurdles so sales personnel can focus on revenue-generation activities
  • Participate in sales pursuits, build personal relationships with client and prospect executives and influencers, and serve as a Sales Executive presence to be leveraged at the request of the reporting Sales Representatives and Head of Sales.
  • Enforce established and identify new sales processes & standards, create sales tools, monitor compliance with internal processes, etc. working closely with CRO


Sales
and Company Operations

  • Responsible for providing inputs to sales project leadership and execution – for example, SalesForce.com implementation and optimization, Sales Process of Excellence creation, Compliance online fee-based service, Webinar Education Series initiative, Trade Show ownership, Client Reference Program creation, etc.
  • Responsible for various non-sales operational initiatives such as Billing & Invoice approval process, Edifecs Market Research Initiative, and other


What you will bring:

  • Must have Health Care sales experience; 7+ years of Health Care experience
  • Proven experience in selling long-term complex multimillion-dollar products, services or solutions within the healthcare market.
  • 7+ years of enterprise software solutions sales and/or account management experience with proven prospecting skills
  • The ability to understand client’s business issues and align the value of Edifecs solutions to these issues successfully
  • Computer skills competency including MS Office suite and SalesForce.com, and strong documentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be able to travel 50 - 70%


Note:
This position’s expected base pay range is $175,000 - $250,000 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, and experience. You will also have variable compensation subject to your performance against the compensation plan for your role.
